At the beginning of February Threadless announced a new payment structure for artists. The previous structure meant that artists earn 20% of net profits with a $0.25 minimum payment for items sold on Threadless.com. This announcement said that the minimum payment would now be $1 per item sold. All kind of meh really considering that you could make $4 per item sold at TeePublic.
But, and this is a big but, before the month was out, Threadless made another announcement. The minimum payout of $1 will remain in place but because of a new pricing structure, artists can earn up to $7 per shirt sold and more for some items. That is awesome. Check it out:
Style | Sale Price | Base Fee | Artist Earnings |
T-shirt | $25 | $18 | $7 |
Zip-Up Hoody | $49 | $36 | $13 |
Phone Case | $32 | $24 | $8 |
18″ Art Print | $38 | $28 | $10 |
