Bruno Clasca, or Donnie, as he is known in the t-shirt world, hails from a very sleepy part of southern France. He spends his days eating chocolate and drawing pictures of his favorite TV and movie characters.  Sound like heaven to you? Well, he’s very good at what he does and you can regularly see his t-shirts on the daily t-shirt sites like TeeFury and RIPT.
208 Donnie t-shirts on the Shirt List.
Bruno is a pop-culture junkie and is currently using the sex and violence of Game of Thrones to keep his mind off Rick Grimes’ clean-shaven visage from the end of Season 5 of the Walking Dead. Read on to find out more about the man we know as Donnie…
Donnie Interview
Your name is Bruno Clasca, but you use the name Donnie as a nickname. Why? Why do you spell it Donniiie at Design by Humans?
Donniiie because Donnie just wasn’t available :). And for this pseudonym, it’s from the movie, Donnie Darko. It’s one of my favorite movies.
According to your Behance profile, you are based in Aucamville, France. A quick Google tells me that that is in the South of France but not on the coast. Born and raised?
Yes, I was born right next door and I grew up there.
How is life there?
Rather quiet ^^
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love going to the movies, watching TV, playing video games and of course drawing and eating chocolate.
Do you work full-time in art and design?
Yes, for a year and a half, I’ve worked full-time in art and design.
About the Artist
When did you start creating art?
I’ve drawn since I was little, so I started drawing even if I was just copying my favorite characters (like Vegeta or Gizmo)^^
Have you had any formal art training?
No, no particular art training. I have not had the chance to study in this field. It’s complicated in France.
Where do you usually get your inspiration?
In everything around me since I was young, mostly movies, video games, and tv shows that I’ve seen.
Could you describe your typical design process from concept to completion?
Usually, I write my ideas down and make a sketch on paper or directly on the computer. Then I pass the outline and add colors.

Do you have any WIP I can include in the post?
No, it’s a secret 🙂
About the Tees
How did you first hear about daily t-shirt sites like TeeFury and RIPT?
I was just looking for ways to share my work on the internet and eventually I came across the t-shirt design competitions.

Do you remember your first print? If so, what was it and how did you feel?
Yes, it was on a French site. I did a parody of Mario and Luigi sitting around a barbecue cooking a Koopa. This was my first time so I was very surprised to win.

Of the tees that you designed which is your favorite?
Maybe my Kenny “best friends” and a Wolverine Minion parody my “wolvenion” ^^
Do you wear t-shirts that you have designed?
Yes, I do.
Have you seen somebody wearing one of your tees in the real world?
Yes, in specialized shops in the “geek” universe or at conventions. I’m always pleased to see that some people like the t-shirts I do. 🙂
About the World
What is the most exotic location you have been to?
I just went to Italy and Canada, so for me the most striking “exotic” location, if one can say that, is Canada, and I would like to return one day.
Where would you most like to visit? Why?
Japan, Australia, and the United States, countries that have always attracted me.
About Other Designers
Which tee designer(s) do you admire the most?
I like several designers: Beastpop, Naolito, Tim Shumate, Harebrained, Bamboota, Harantula …..

Have you done any collaborations for t-shirts? If so, who and what did you design? If not, who would you like to collaborate with?
Yes with several artists. And especially with Harantula on a Batman-inspired t-shirt.
About Tee Design
Any advice for other designers/artists?
